Centrally located in the heart of the Riverland in regional South Australia, the Berri Riverside Holiday Park is owned by the Berri War Memorial Community Centre, which was formed in 1947.

The Holiday Park commenced operation 25 years later as a ‘living memorial’ to the local people who have served and are still serving our country. All profits support tourism and community activities in the Berri district.

Guests can enjoy new three-bedroom luxury apartments and smaller cabins, plus grassy ensuite, powered and tent sites. This dog-friendly park also boasts a lovely communal fireplace, resort-style pool, and the most incredible mini golf course onsite.

Congratulations to the owners, managers and staff of Berri Riverside Holiday Park, and those at Destination Riverland who help promote this first class community facility.

Town: Berri SA

Open: All year round

Experiences:  As this park is in the heart of the Riverland region on the Murray River, there is so much to enjoy. Berri is a relaxing town with all the amenities you will need. There are plenty of natural landscapes to explore with Berri literally on the door step of the  Katarapko National Park and the towns Riverside trail leads you to the exquisite Martin Bend wetlands connecting with Berri Bridge Mural, Riverboat Interpretive Trail and 'A Special Place for Jimmy James' along the scenic route.

Judges said:  Even though it's been a tough couple of years for tourism operators especially with the Murray River flooding, the team at Berri Riverside have maintained a laser focus on pursuing excellence and investing for a bright future. We love that the managers and community owners think outside the box. The floating restaurant is an excellent example of this and the only one owned by a caravan park in Australia to our knowledge, and future clean energy plans will add another unique dimension and reason for travellers to choose this park.
